This is an award winning coffee from an incredibly beautiful area, its taste reflecting the colour and vitality of the rainforest of its origins. Lemon sherbet sweetness is accompanied by caramel and stewed fruit tastes.
It has been produced by five generations of the same family in El Salvador. The farm was set up in 1932 and named Lya after the first daughter of the founder, Don Gustavo Vides, who was born that year. Situated on the Santa Ana Volcano, high up in the mountains with breathtaking views, the coffee grows in perfect conditions under the shade of the forest. The beans are selected by hand and washed and dried in the sun, producing a refreshingly sweet coffee that tastes like summer itself, with fresh fruit and lemon brightness.
Winner of the coveted Cup of Excellence award in 2004, Bosque Lya is an exceptionally mellow coffee, perfect for drinking at any time of day.
