How can I pay for my order?

We accept Switch, Mastercard, Visa, Delta, Maestro, JCB, Electron and American Express.

We also accept cheques and postal orders from UK residents only. Cheques should be made payable to Whittard of Chelsea Ltd. Please write your order reference and name on the reverse of the cheque. 

All payments must be in pound sterling.

Is it safe to shop online and enter my credit card details?

Whittard of Chelsea operates a secureline shoppin facility. We use the latest and strongest commercial technology available. Our secure sockets layer (SSL) uses 128-bit encryption. This ensures that your transactions are secure and your information cannot be accessed or redirected to anyone but Whittard of Chelsea.

When will you debit my account?

We debit your account when you confirm your order with us.

Do you offer a gift wrapping service?

Yes, you can request to see the gift wrapping options during the checkout process. 

If I place an order for a gift, will the value of goods appear on the delivery note?

No, the prices will not be printed.

Can I place an order for delivery to multiple addresses?

No, if you wish to send items to more than one different delivery address you have to place each order separately. 

How much do you charge for delivery?

The cost of delivery for your items will be shown during the checkout process. This will vary on the location and the weight of the items in the basket. You will alter the delivery charge by adding and subtracting items.

Is the free delivery applicable to all customers?

No, the free delivery is only applicable for delivery within Great Britain. This does not include Northern Ireland.

Do you deliver overseas?

Yes, we deliver to over 40 countries outside of the UK. To see whether we deliver to your country please check the pull down menu on the 'create an account' page.

I have heard about FDA restrictions and delivery to the USA, will this affect my order?

If you are delivering to the USA then it may affect your order, though of late we have seen a decrease in the number of parcels being stopped.

Due to new legislation from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) relating to the importation of any food product into the USA exporters are obliged to submit additional pre-approval paperwork to the FDA for each shipment made to the US.

Our shipper is imposing a $20 US (approx: £10.85) charge for this, at this time we are informed that customers will be charged this additional fee on delivery of their parcel or shipment.

Customers, who wish to order the specialist teas and coffees direct from the UK, should order less than 2 kilos (not including packaging) so goods can be sent by airmail: for example 3 x 500g of tea/coffee. Goods sent by Airmail can take up to 14 working days to arrive.

Can you deliver to BFPO addresses?

Yes we can deliver to BFPO addresses but only by Royal Mail. Please ensure that you keep your orders below 2 kilos (not including packaging): for example 3 x 500g of tea/coffee. If you order is too heavy then we will contact you.

You will need to manually enter the address and select Great Britain as the destination country.

Can you deliver to PO Boxes?

We are unable to deliver to PO Boxes.

When can I expect my order?

Goods are normally despatched 1-2 working days after you have placed your order. Please allow up to 7 working asfor delivry to United Kingdom and up to 14 working days for delivery to overseas destination.

What if I'm not in when you deliver?

If you are not in then the postman or the courier will leave a card to let you know they have called. If applicable, you can collect your parcel from the post office or call the courier to rearrange delivery.

You do have the facility to leave delivery instructions - such as 'leave with a neighbour' or 'in the garage' - during the checkout process.

You can request your order be delivered to a work address. 

I still haven't received my order, what do I do?

Please email info@whittard.co.uk or call us on 0800 015 4395 or from overseas +44 (0) 20 7819 6510. Please quote your order reference number.

H4>Why am I restricted to ordering some products and not all?

Unfortunately due to customs restrictions we are unable to send some products to overseas. This is the case with delivering strongly scented products to Australia.

How do I cancel or amend my order?

If you wish to cancel or amend an order you must do so within an hour of placing your order. To do this please call us on 0800 015 4395 or from overseas +44 (0) 20 7819 6510. Alternatively you can email info@whittard.co.uk. Please quote your order reference number.

Can I obtain a refund for fresh roasted coffee?

We are unable to refund fresh roasted coffee, unless we have sent you an incorrect item or grind.

When do I get my refund after returning an item?

Once received, we will process your return within 3 working days. Your credit or debit card provider determines the time taken to credit your card. This is usually between 10-15 working days. 

I have been subject to an additional charge on delivery, why is this?

This may be a surcharge for delivery to a rural address or an import duty levied by customs. Duty charges vary between countries and products. Please check with your local customs office for further information.

Can I view my past purchases?

Yes, by visiting the Your Account section.
