Guatemalan Antigua Coffee exudes pure Latin American passion. Its sweet, honeyed taste lingers on the palate in a delightful way.
It grows in near perfect conditions, high up in the highlands bordering the ancient city of Antigua. The area produces some of the best coffee in the world. Surrounded by volcanoes, the soil is rich in minerals, giving the beans a mellow honeyed taste with hints of spice and chocolate. Bathing in a moist humidity under the deep shade of the forest trees allows the coffee to grow slowly and develop its full-bodied taste and complex lingering sweetness.
Perfectly balanced, with the just the right amount of acidity and a wonderful aroma, Guatemalan Antigua Coffee is an exotic and exciting drink to finish off the day.
Fairly strong roast, very rich, a little malty, certainly full bodied. Taste really does linger -- it's strangely almost like a meal. There is a tad of sourness if you brew it strong, but less than very many others at such strength. One of the most satisfying coffees I've had.
