A connoisseur’s collection of eight luxurious single origin ground coffees.
Contains coffees with different strengths, from mild-medium (2) to strong (5). Coffees included are Mocha Djimmjah (mild), Costa Rican (mild), Pico Duarte (medium), Colombian (medium), Nicaraguan (medium/strong), Sumatra (strong), Monsoon Malabar (strong) & Old Brown Java (strong).
Ground coffee, suitable for use in cafetieres and most coffee makers.
Its time to update the review below - ive now sampled two of the coffees, the monsoon malibar, and Micha Djimmjah. Despite my previous reservations, they are very nice and im looking forward to trying the rest. This is a good introduction to the world of real coffee and the opposite end to the high street multinationals. I still think that for £18 they are overpriced - I think filling the packs to 100gm would not significantly increase the costs and and offer significant better value for money.
very expensive / overpackaged

I was given this by my son as a present and was immediately very pleased by the large package and selection of coffees. On opening on of the selections I found a bag containing a small amount of coffee - 66 grams to be precise, which equates to an 8 cup cafetiere (28p per small cup) or 3 mugs (68p) per cup. It works out about £34 a kilo or £8:50 for a normal ground coffee packet. To top it the bags are not vaucuum packed and the coffee is loose within them, which does not bode well for good coffee. Im afraid that this pack is severly overpriced.it may look nice, but you cant drink looks. To be fair, Whittards have offered to exchange it, but I cant find anything else that isnt overpriced.

My eldest son gave this to me as a Xmas present after observing my interest in coffees from around the world. I am enjoying my journey with this, and am currently in Sumatra ! This makes a great present and I would recommend it.

I admit I was a little skeptical when I first ordered this as I thought it was a bit pricey. However, I've just received it and it's a lot bigger than I thought, beautifully packaged and well worth the money. I'm sure the coffee will be just as lovely!

Hubby was delighted with this gift from our daughter. Beautifully packaged and he has savoured the contents of each pack. Enjoyed them all but favours the strong ones over the mild.
A lovely coffee present!
