Origin: Kenya, Africa Leaf Type: Single Estate Black Tea Taste: Smooth and strong Drink: With or without milk Brew: 3-5 minutes according to taste When to drink: Morning
With its smooth, strong taste and hints of lemon zest, our Kenya tea makes for a refreshing breakfast brew. Grown at a lower altitude to teas like our Kenya Marinyn, the small, shiny leaf has slightly less bud, making it perfect for quick brewing colour and strength.
Glorious with a dash of milk, accompanied by a buttery croissant.
Ideally warm the pot first with a splash of hot water. Use one teaspoon (around 2g) per cup and always use freshly drawn and boiled water. Allow to brew for 3-5 minutes according to taste. Can be drunk with or without milk.
If you enjoy low pH in your water this will make the most beautiful red tea I have ever seen. The color is only surpassed by the taste. It takes milk well, but it is a shame to destroy the good looks. If your water is basic and makes ugly tea add some lemon to get a clean tea with lively color.
