Spice Imperial Tea is the mulled wine of Whittard's teas, infused with the heady flavours of citrus fruit and cloves. It is great drunk hot as a winter warmer or iced with lots of fruit as a refreshing drink on hot summer days.
For the base of this tea, Whittard has used a full-flavoured but smooth black tea, which is perfect for coping with the combined forces of spices, vanilla pieces and citrus peel.
The result is a rich, exotic cup and aroma that transports you to the steamy spice markets of ancient trade routes.
Ideally warm the pot first with a splash of hot water. Use one teabag per cup and always use freshly drawn and boiled water. Allow to brew for 3-5 minutes according to taste. Can be drunk with or without milk.
