A blend of China teas, the name comes from the 17th century when camel caravans transported China tea to Europe. During the journey, the teas took on the smoky taste of the campfires. We launched it just after the First World War and it still captures a spirit of adventure.

Brew a Perfect Cup
Ideally warm the pot first with a splash of hot water. Use one teabag per cup and always use freshly drawn and boiled water. Allow to brew for 3-5 minutes according to taste. Can be drunk with or without milk.
strong but never bitter
i'd say more malty than smoky
nice to drink neat or with milk(not soy)
Lovely strong smoky taste. I\'ve only just discovered this tea at the grand old age of 50. Feel like I\'ve missed out all my life. Love it!
This is definitely one of my favourite teas. It has a luscious smokey aftertaste and is so refreshing it is irresistible. Can't get enought of it.
I love this stuff - beautiful tea that gives an extra kick as it hits the back of the throat. The only down-side is if I drink it all the time I get used to it and don't notice so to refresh my palate I take a break with ordinary tea occasionally!
Received as a Christmas gift my husband likes it so much I have to order it regularly. "A good strong tea slightly smoky and unusual so it perks up the taste buds after the normal English brews", his previous favourite Assam has now taken a back seat!
