January's Tea of the Month

Origin: Zhejiang Province, China
Leaf Type: Green Tea
Taste: Delicate and rich with hints of chestnut
Drink: Without milk
Brew: Lightly, 2-3 minutes with water off the boil
When to drink: Throughout the day

Taking its name from the Chinese village of Long Jing, literally translated as “Dragon Well”, this is a refreshing green tea with added bite. Green tea has long been reputed to be high in antioxidants, and our artisan Dragonwell has been skilfully picked by hand and fired in huge woks.

The result is a uniquely flavoursome taste, light and sweet with a rich chestnut nuttiness developed by the firing process. Springlike, refreshing and gloriously moreish.

Perfect for use in our Cold Brew T Bottle

Ingredients

100% Green Tea.

Packed in an environment where nuts are handled.

Brew a Perfect Cup

Ideally warm the pot first with a splash of hot water. Use one teaspoon (around 2g) per cup and use freshly drawn water which is heated to around 80 degrees. You can either pour the water before it reaches boiling point or allow the water to sit for a few minutes afterwards. Allow to brew for 2-3 minutes according to taste. Should be drunk without milk.

Tried a few other green teas and have not enjoyed them at all. This is delicious and very refreshing, a very clean taste. I can feel my body thanking me for drinking it :) really great tea and it goes a long way!

A fragrant tea with great green leafy notes, quite fragrant too and it has several very good steeps. It has a slight fragrant sweetness that sits very well. All in all a great fresh tasting tea.

Full of so many flavours, lightly sweet and beautifully fragrant! It's one of those teas that you can fully immerse yourself in, take in the scent, sipping slowly to appreciate the subtle accents of the leaf. That old saying 'Stop to smell the roses', well this is that phrase manifested as a tea!
