Afternoon Tea is a Whittard classic and one of the Company's original blends. It is the tea to drink for that quintessentially English ritual, afternoon tea.

To make this Afternoon Tea, a delightfully aromatic black leaf tea from China is blended with a traditional jasmine green tea. Bergamot flavour is then added to give it its gentle perfumed flavour. Gold winner of The Great Taste Awards in 2012, the judges described it as having "Good quality leaves delivering rich, warm eucalyptus notes."

Whittard's Afternoon Tea is just what it says - the perfect tea for the afternoon. Serve it with dainty sandwiches and cakes to recreate that great British tradition, or simply on its own or with biscuits to enjoy along with a chat with friends. It is great drunk without milk, although you can brew a little stronger and add milk if you wish.

70% Black Tea, 29% Green Tea & 1% Bergamot flavour.

Brew a Perfect Cup

Ideally warm the pot first with a splash of hot water. Use one teabag per cup and always use freshly drawn and boiled water. Allow to brew for 3-5 minutes according to taste. Can be drunk with or without milk.

Definitely my personal favourite. That tinge of bergamot really does the trick. A cup of this tea will wash away even the oiliest lingering feeling after a heavy fast food meal.

Contrary to popular belief, this afternoon tea is also perfect for morning and evening.

My absolute favourite - have drunk nothing else for years. My friends enjoy too.

My favourite blend ever! It gets strong quickly in the cup and neither the jasmine nor the bergamot are too overwhelming and complement each other.

Great blend of tea to tide one over between lunch and dinner. The smooth taste is good alone and even better when paired with cookies or a scone.
