Alice is back... How will you celebrate?

It’s no secret that we adore all things Alice in Wonderland, so it’s surely no surprise that we’re counting down the days until Alice Through the Looking Glass - the sequel to Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland - is released in cinemas on 27th May. Our cups and saucers are at the ready, for this is one tea party that never truly ends!

It’s been over five years since we last lost ourselves in Wonderland (but of course we pay homage to our favourite characters whenever we make a cup of tea…) and in the new movie Alice is summoned back to save the Mad Hatter. In a race against Time (who is, in fact, a ‘he’), Alice must travel between the past and present; meeting younger versions of the characters we know and love along the way.

Part prequel, part sequel: Perhaps our excitement reached its peak when we heard the Cheshire Cat’s soothing tones drift in and out of the movie trailer:

“When the day becomes the night and the sky becomes the sea,
When the clock strikes heavy and there's no time for tea.
And in our darkest hour, before my final rhyme,
she will come back home to Wonderland and turn back the hands of time.”

We certainly can’t imagine a world in which there’s no time for tea, so we’ve compiled a list of our favourite quotes from Lewis Carroll’s 1871 novel, Through the Looking Glass.

Pour your choice of tea into your best Key-Handle mug, choose some nibbles and see whether your favourite quote makes our list:

Have we missed our your favourite quote? Let us know what makes your list on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram!

If you love Alice in Wonderland as much as we do, send us a photograph of your favourite tea set and tag us – we’d love to see your Wonderland tea parties in action!
