Whittard Winter Warmers

Mulled wine, grog, spiced punch… there’s nothing like a rich hot toddy on winter evenings. We’ve been getting creative with our Christmas range, mixing up some terrifically toasty drinks that’ll warm you right through. Pop the kettle on: it’s time to raid that drinks cabinet and get mixing.

Silent Nog

Our new Silent Night tea is a soothingly sweet blend of smooth green tea, rich spices and white chocolate stars. It’s a glorious match for the oaky depth of brandy, which highlights the tea’s chocolatey notes – try adding 50ml to a strong pot, giving it a stir and sharing it with friends as a fireside tipple.

Spiced Chocolate Baileys

It wouldn’t be a winter warmers blog without Baileys making an appearance somewhere. It’s the perfect match for our limited edition Spiced Flavour Hot Chocolate with its comforting notes of cloves and spiced plum – just add 50ml Baileys to a freshly made mug for a deeply satisfying Spiced Chocolate Baileys. (If you like your tipples even chocolatier, try substituting our Luxury Hot Chocolate for the Spiced.)

Christmas Rum Chai

Fancy something spicy, creamy and a little bit boozy? Our limited edition Christmas Chai is new for this year, and we’ve already been getting creative with it. Our personal favourite? A hot mug of Christmas Chai, mixed with a single measure of spiced rum.

Nutcracker Coffee

Among all the unwritten rules for celebrating Christmas, we think it’s pretty important to have a bowl of nuts sitting ready for guests (not to mention chocolates). If you want a drink that pairs well with pecans and pistachios, try stirring up a Nutcracker Coffee from a strong espresso and 50ml amaretto – we recommend a darker, chocolatey roast like our Guatemala Elephant. For a sweeter, even nuttier version, use our Christmas Coffee: its smooth hazelnut flavour makes for an irresistibly nutty concoction.
