The plantations peppered around the Guatemalan city of Antigua produce some of the best coffee the country has to offer. Cultivated at high altitude in the mineral-rich soil of a land smouldering with volcanoes, this particular single origin Guatemalan coffee grows slowly under the shade of the forest, resulting in an exceptionally layered taste profile.

When making coffee always use freshly drawn and boiled water – wait a few seconds for the water to cool so you don’t scald the grinds. Cardinal rule? Never re-heat brewed coffee! Freshness is everything.

 Not as good as last time

Having tasted this coffee before and really enjoyed it, I was disappointed this time. Heavy roasting (even if it says it's medium) meant it tasted more burnt than anything and the nuances from the bean were masked. What a shame! |

Guatemala coffee

we have been drinking your coffee for years now we started buying it from Sheffield that closed then we went to Doncaster then that shop shut so we went to junction 32 near wakefield to get it then when that closed we tried other coffee but it was awful then we decided to order it and have it delivered to our home so I am glad to say we are back to drinking decent coffee again !! if the shop ever closes I will stop drinking coffee hate the jarred stuff thankyou mrs v sykes |

Taste of pure bliss

I bought this coffee in Newcastle when on a weekend break. Out of all the wonderful coffees I chose this In a 227g/8ox bag how lucky was I (it's really lovely) it has a great taste a bit expensive but if you want something really good this is the one nice and strong with a different taste everyone loves it. Now the bad points I've got to buy some more I've run out (I must keep my mouth shut) never mind. |

A gorgeous cup

I got a batch of 3 coffees from whittards to sample. This one, cafe francaise and the Salvador. Its this I keep coming back to though. A wonderfully rich smooth hit with just the right acidity as it connects with your tongue, leaving (just as the description states) a honeyed chocolate afterglow. Mmmmmm. Perfect any time of the day. |
