Mexico introduced chocolate, corn, and chilies to the world - and since the 18th century they've been pioneers in the world of coffee too.
Down in the country's southernmost state of Chiapas, the Sierra Madre de Chiapas Mountains provide the ideal altitude, volcanic soil and lush vegetation for forming a highly distinctive coffee. Comparable to those produced in neighbouring Guatemala, Chiapas beans are characterised by a fresh fruity flavour and notes of nuttiness. This particular coffee has a sharp acidity, softened by a brown sugar sweetness and subtle notes of milk chocolate, intensifying as the cup cools.
Medium-bodied and mild, you'll find this a complex but easy-drinking brew, lovely for after-lunch lounging or for curing that mid-morning malaise...

100% Arabica Beans Packed in an environment where nuts are handled.

Brew a Perfect Cup

For the perfect cup of Mexican Chiapas Coffee, always use fresh water, off the boil so you don't scald the coffee. Whittard's Mexican Chiapas is great for using with a filter or cafetière - follow the manufacturer's equipment instructions. Do not re-heat brewed coffee.

Very nice soft coffee to drink all day long.

I adore this coffee, it has a light and mellow flavour which just cannot be beaten first thing in the morning. I have tried them all and this one is by far my favourite. I like to make my own mix of 3 parts Chiapas to 1 part Elephants to get the ideal flavour without bitterness. I hope that they never stop selling this coffee as I really don't know how I would manage without it!

A coffee to drink all day and every day, the taste surpasses the price, in my view the taste is equable to the Jamaican blue mountain, that might seem harsh on the blue mountain but who on earth can afford to drink that all day and every day!
Great stuff!!!!
