To taste Darjeeling is to taste the landscape where it is grown. Intermittent rain, sun and moisture-laden mists nurture the century-old tea gardens in the landscape that inspired Rudyard Kipling to craft his stories. The smallest shoots, still covered in dew, are picked by hand at first light to deliver one of our finest teas.

Ingredients

100% Black Tea.

Brew a Perfect Cup

Ideally warm the pot first with a splash of hot water. Use one teabag per cup and always use freshly drawn and boiled water. Allow to brew for 3-5 minutes according to taste. Can be drunk with or without milk.

This is a very nice tea. We hope that Whittard continue to supply it.

I have to say I was very disappointed with the Darjeeling that I purchased, it seems to be lacking in flavour and is very weak. I received a Christmas present containing 8 sampler pack of various teas from Whittards including a package of Darjeeling teabags. These were excellent, full of flavour and wonderful Darjeeling aroma so based on this sample I purchased 2 packs of 50 teabags but they could not be compared with the quality of the tea in the original sample. Perhaps the tea bags I received at Christmas were of a superior quality but the contents of the package of 50 bags which I recently purchased are nowhere near as good. A big disappointment, even though Whittards sent me another pack as a replacement.

another of your teas that tastes so good and doesn't have that awful 'builders tea' after taste

I do not like strong tea and Darjeeling suits me perfectly. These teabags are a very good substitute for the loose leaf tea. Better than many other brands.

I don't usually use teabags but for the times when I can't be bothered to use the loose Darjeeling and make a pot of tea, this is a very acceptable alternative. Much better than other Darjeeling teabags I have used.
