When it came to creating our deliciously dark 77% Cocoa Flaked Drinking Chocolate, we went straight for the headiest and most aromatic South American cocoa. The result is bewitchingly rich, with authentic bittersweet notes to amplify that classic cocoa aftertaste. With all the full-flavoured intensity of a dark chocolate ganache or a melting-pot pudding, it’s the ultimate drinking chocolate for those who love their cocoa rich and strong.
To concoct the perfect cup, heat 200ml of whole milk in a pan, and melt two tablespoons of chocolate flakes into the mix, stirring as you go. When it’s velvety smooth and steaming hot, it’s ready to pour. And there you have it: molten chocolate gold.

After trying a sample of this in the Cambridge store, I was hooked and had to buy a tub! For those who find a milk chocolate drink a bit sickly, as I do, this is a rich mixture but deliciously palatable. Dark chocolate lovers will definitely approve!

As a big fan of the hot chocolate spoons I made this my next personal treat. FIrst off, I would recommend following the instructions for preparation as with the cocoa powder flavours -- stir thoroughly! With a little whisking it does make a wonderfully consistent and smooth drink, the flakes melt away perfectly. If you're a fan of the 70% cocoa this one is for you -- dark and rich without being bitter, it's for those who can't bear coffee but want something a little stronger than milk chocolate.
