Very well-designed, good quality grinder by Jennifer Bonner on 4th August 2015
I read a few reviews of this grinder on coffee afficionado websites and so decided to take the plunge. Yes, it is expensive, there is no question about it. But I see it as a long-term investment in quality. It is very well-designed in so many ways (made in Japan), easy to take apart and clean, and has a ceramic burr which is apparently the best kind (and won't rust as metal ones will eventually). The only caveat is that I have it on the finest grind setting and the grind is just fine enough for making filter coffee with the Hario V60 system. This grinder will not grind fine enough for espresso, but should be fine for filter coffee and French press (cafetiere).
