I can't agree with the totally negative review. Some small tea leaves find their way through but that's no bar to using leaf tea, I use that exclusively.
To make it absolutely perfect an infuser would augment it, to enable the complete emptying of leaves without any getting stuck to the sides. Preferably a glass one, if any become available i'll buy one.

the teapot looks amazing and is incredibly useful!

I struggle to find fault with this perfect little teapot. A few leaves escape very occasionally with the very small loose leaf teas but it doesn't bother me at all. Very elegant and perfectly designed.
Peking Tea Pot & Cup

I was initially a little put off purchasing this item due to the slightly negative review posted at the time. However, Whittard’s being of sound reputation, I decide to purchase this Peking glass teapot and cup. This is a very pleasant item to use, and is completely fine with the loose-leaf teas I’ve tried so far; Russian Caravan and a couple of different green teas. You can get a couple of cups from the pot; overall, this is a very stylish and nice to use set – Very pleased with it.
Beautiful and functional

The last reviewer said leaves go right through, but if you're drinking one of the larger leaf teas (I tried the Piccadilly Blend) the strainer works perfectly. Absolutely love this little set, shows off your tea wonderfully!

Cannot be used with loose leaf tea as the holes in the strainer are so big the leaves go straight through.
