This tea has been harvested and produced in late March when the temperatures are rising in this beautiful tea area and the leaves are beginning to shoot. What makes Darjeeling so outstanding is the fact that many of it’s tea gardens are situated at high-altitude which is promoting the quality and flavour of the teas. Margaret’s Hope has tea bushes growing at an altitude up to 6,000 feet above sea level.
With a fresh, crisp aroma and a delicately fruity flavour, it’s the perfect example of what makes First Flush Darjeeling the finest tea. Serve in a glass teapot so you can enjoy the tea’s glorious golden hue as the silver-tipped leaves unfurl…

INDIA
The Margaret's Hope plantation is nestled in an exclusive corner of the Himalayan mountains, deep in the region of Darjeeling. Elevated up to 1830m above sea level, the cool mountain air encourages slow growth of the tea bushes which encourages the leaves to develop a more intense flavour. Many of these ancient tea bushes are over 150 years old and have been carefully cultivated to create this exquisitely crisp tea.
Store in a sealed jar or tin, such as our Fill-Me-Up Tea Caddies.
How to Make
1 tsp loose tea
200ml water
- Pop 1 tsp of loose tea per cup into a Pao mug or teapot with an infuser
- Pour in 200ml water per cup heated to 85 degrees
- Wait for 3-5 minutes
- Remove infuser and enjoy

2 tsp loose tea
100ml freshly boiled water
Ice
Fruit or mint to garnish (optional)
- Add the loose tea to a refillable teabag or an infuser and place in a cup or heat-resistant glass
- Pour over freshly boiled water and brew for 15 minutes. Remove the teabag/infuser
- Top up with plenty of ice
- Garnish with fruit and sprigs of mint if desired
