Sumatra Coffee is a rich coffee with a vibrancy that evokes the rainforests of the Indonesian island where it is grown. Full-bodied and packed with flavour, it is a coffee to make you stand up and take note.

The coffee beans are grown on small plots on the shores of Lake Aceh on the northern point of the island, just as they were when the coffee plant was first introduced there in the 17th century. When picked, they are semi-dried in the sun, allowing them to absorb the fragrant and earthy tastes of the land. They are then dark roasted to capture the essence of their taste. The result is a beautifully rounded coffee, filled with the flavours of the rainforest a medley of figs and apricots and exotic sweet flowers.

Sumatra is a lively and exciting coffee, awakening the senses to an explosion of tastes. Best served black to fully appreciate the nuances of the beans, it is a great finish to a meal at the end of the day.

Follow the manufacturer's equipment instructions Always use fresh water. Use water just off the boil so you don't scald the coffee. Do not re-heat brewed coffee.

Sumatra coffee is the best! I brought some back to Texas from a recent trip. I took the beans to the office as a special treat for my co-workers and they were impressed with the roast and the flavor. These are coffee snobs that are not easy to please. One said it was the best coffee he ever tasted.

This is my favourite coffee I managed to stop the 5 Cans or redbull a day by having one of this coffee's in the morning and one when I get home. Only down side is any other coffee is hardly worth drink.

This coffee is the best I've ever tasted. Although the strongest roast, it's not at all bitter and has delicate subtle tastes. It's best without milk to appreciate it fully.
