Featuring the original illustrations from Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, these quirky fine bone china mugs have has been designed exclusively for Whittard and handcrafted at The Potteries in Stoke-on-Trent.  Starring the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit and Alice Herself, each mug comes complete with a key for the handle – a little like the one Alice finds when she first falls down the rabbit hole…
We first had the idea for the collection when attending a rather raucous tea party at the Mad Hatter’s. Create your very own tea party with lovely mugs, dainty-cups and saucers, a sweet little milk and sugar set and a special plate for cakes – oh and don’t forget the nice big teapot. Just be sure to check for the sleeping dormouse before pouring...

I intended to take it as a Christmas gift buying it on December 10th. The expedition, however, only part of the 15 and the 20 is still not shipped. They make me wait for days to tell me that my package was lost, and the only solution found an apology and refund request or reorder. I ask him to send it as quickly as possible but do not get response for a week. In the end I had to call and as if they had not created any discomfort they asked me again if you get a refund or shipment that was coming anyway after at least two weeks. REALLY SHAMEFUL.

What a beautiful mug, complete with quirky key handle.

Although this is bone china, I feel the design is robust enough to use everyday. Perfect for enjoying the English Rose tea in!

Absolutely delightful mug - more like a work of art! I loved the label attached with a red ribbon. This will definitely be "for show" only and not for every day use
