'Take some more tea,' the March Hare said to Alice, very earnestly.
'I've had nothing yet,' Alice replied in an offended tone, 'so I can't take more.'
Tea is a tricky business down in Wonderland – but with our wonderful range of fine bone china, curious confectionery and intriguing Alice teas, it’s ever-so easy to create your own Mad Hatter’s tea party...
This year we’re celebrating 150 years since Lewis Carroll first published Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. To mark the occasion, we’ve asked the leading ceramics designer Alison Appleton to create a limited edition range of fine bone china exclusively for us – what better way to celebrate Alice’s birthday?
Crafted by hand at The Potteries in Stoke-on-Trent, each piece has been lovingly hand-decorated with the original illustrations by John Tenniel, applying elegant colours and golden detailing. There’s a lovely plate to stack high with cakes, an elaborate cup and saucer and a pretty little teapot. Our famous key-handle mugs are an all-time favourite, and we’ve completed the tea set with an elegant sugar bowl and milk jug. Now that the table’s set for tea, it’s time to wake up that dormouse and start the party!
