Product Details

Think of yourself as a bit of a bohemian?

Beloved by raspberry fools and English eccentrics, no mad hatter would be without a pot of this delightfully fruity tea.

Inspired by the Queen of Hearts' tarts, we've blended a base of rich black tea with real raspberries and ruby-red petals. Softly sweet and not too sharp, it's perfect for an arty tea party on the lawn, complete with croquet and crumpets to boot. Lovely when you're feeling a bit batty, or just looking for an excuse to dress up for tea.

* * * * * This tea deserves its own pretty tin!!! by Titus on 23rd April 2018

I love this tea! It has a very lively raspberry flavour which pairs beautifully with the rich, black tea. I feel certain that the only thing keeping this tea from being a top seller is that it doesn't have its own beautiful tin! I drink this and English Rose every day. It is problematic that I live in Canada and cannot easily purchase more when I run out, but I stock up as best I can when I can.

Ever since our founder Walter Whittard weighed out tea leaves behind his high mahogany counter, we’ve been experimenting with our own inventive blends. The Chinese were the first to try blending tea leaves with fruits and flowers and it takes time, skill and imagination to master the art. It’s all about creating the perfect balance of flavours: we blind taste at least 20 different variations before settling on the perfect recipe. Just as some musicians have perfect pitch, an expert tea blender needs to have some pretty perceptive tastebuds…

    Flavoured black tea

Tangy cranberries and raucous red raspberries make for a fabulous fruity tea with a boisterous berry bite. Blending pieces of real fruit with a base of fine black tea, the result is rich yet refreshing, with a sweet, juicy finish. Equally enjoyable as a jubilant brew for the height of summer, or a wintry treat for warming up inside.

    Black Tea with Flavouring

The English are often thought to be rather… fruity. True to our heritage, this splendid brew blends a brisk black tea with plummy tones of ripe red fruits. Rounded and resonant, with a juicy fruit-compote smoothness, rich summer raspberries and flavours of cranberry create that characteristic clipped finish. You could say it's a tea which speaks the Queen's English…
