Inspired by the classic Austrian carol, this year’s limited edition Christmas tea is a soothing seasonal blend that’s perfect for afternoons by the fire. We’ve blended a delicate Chinese green tea with warming cinnamon, cloves and orange, adding Brazilian cocoa and topping it off with dreamy white chocolate stars – it’s calm, bright and utterly Christmassy.

* * * * * Perfect Winter soother. by Michelle B on 17th April 2018

I was sceptical about this tea as it contains white chocolate (which I personally loath) but, it's so delicious. It has a subtle Christmassy feel to it with the very clever blend of cinnamon, cloves and oranges , coupled with the creaminess of the white chocolate stars is perfect for those cosy winter afternoons or as a soothing bed time tea.

The Chinese invented paper, gunpowder and the compass. But their finest innovation has to be tea, reputedly first discovered by the emperor Shen Nong in 2737 BCE. Originally prepared as a medicinal brew, tea became a drink in its own right during the Han Dynasty (206 BCE – 220 CE), and today China produces thousands of different varieties ranging from black, green and white tea to oolong, puerh and yellow tea. If you’re looking for a bit of teatime reading take a look at Lu Yu’s ‘Tea Classic’: first written in 780 CE, it covers everything from cultivation methods to tea etiquette…
