Strawberry Mint

Product Details

Think iced tea cocktails at the height of summer.

This sweet herbal tea is a sip of pure summer, bringing to mind an icy jug of fruit punch, topped with chopped strawberries and a sprig of fresh mint. We've blended tangy apple, icy spearmint and succulent strawberries to concoct that summer cocktail taste, while curious white bean pods and herbal nettle make for a lovely-looking leaf and a beautifully mellow base. Brings a refreshing hit to a hot summer's day.

I’ve received this as part of the Whittard’s monthly tea club and it’s now in my daily rotation. It’s a combination that takes you by surprise with its simplicity yet its flavourfulness. You get both the refreshing and digestive benefits of mint with the sweet taste of strawberries which is just divine. Highly, highly recommend - It’s of my favourite teas!

Very refreshing, subtle flavours. It never last long in our house so now I always store a refill bag

This blend is mouth watering! Once steeped the mint creates a glacial, cooling edge. Brewed hot, the flavour is weak-ish so I can understand why others tasting this may be disappointed. On a hot day though, this blend is actually amazing iced. It was sweltering, at the time I was guzzling through this, so cold brewed Strawberry Mint was a literally saviour.

This tea was really refreshing and great flavours! Will definitely be trying it iced.

* * * * * Don't listen to the other review by Helena on 21st July 2017

This tea is BEAUTIFUL. Yes, it's subtle, but that's what makes it so delicious! Any more powerful and the flavours would just fight against each other and taste artificial. The way to kick it up a notch is to have it iced - I tried it during the recent heatwave and became a little obsessed.

* - - - - Disappointingly bland by Rachel Hill on 12th July 2017

I had high hopes for this tea to be a sweet minty refreshing treat for summer but it is so bland and weak in flavour. It's stretching the imagination to call it strawberry and mint when these make up only 15% of the ingredients, their flavours certainly don't come through. I tried doubling the recommended amount of tea, brewing it for longer but still it came out like tinted water. Very disappointing indeed

Ever since our founder Walter Whittard weighed out tea leaves behind his high mahogany counter, we’ve been experimenting with our own inventive blends. The Chinese were the first to try blending tea leaves with fruits and flowers and it takes time, skill and imagination to master the art. It’s all about creating the perfect balance of flavours: we blind taste at least 20 different variations before settling on the perfect recipe. Just as some musicians have perfect pitch, an expert tea blender needs to have some pretty perceptive tastebuds…
