For those who like their morning cuppa full-bodied, rich and packed with flavour, we’ve crafted a stronger alternative to our classic English Breakfast to give your taste buds a wake-up call. We chose tea from Sri Lanka for its crisp taste and distinctive aroma, blending it with the famously malty tea of Kenya. The result is a gutsy brew with a lingering aftertaste – it’s delicious with a splash of milk in the morning, served with a slice of buttered toast.
Rich, strong, malty
Sourdough bread with butter and jam
Per cup, infuse one teaspoon (2g) of tea in boiling water for 3-5 minutes

I am usually not a fan of strong plain black teas, finding your typical English breakfast or Assam too bland or bitter but this tea is something else, strong yet full of flavour! Just what I need to wake me up on a morning
My new morning Brew by Steve GP on 4th April 2018
Great start to the day I even think it's better than English breakfast, stronger but still nice and fresh.
My new fav! by Charlotte allseybrook on 8th March 2018
I'm a lover of black tea and is certainly did not disappoint. Glorious flavour, great with or without milk and a fab alternative to English breakfast - you must try!
On par with English Breakfast! by Nikki on 22nd February 2018
Fabulous fresh, malty, strong and brisk flavour. This is lovely with a drop of milk. I'm a huge English Breakfast drinker, it's all I drink and all I like but this is definitely a close contender. I'll be purchasing some more of this and enjoying it instead of English Breakfast. Wish I could give it 10 stars!!
Deliciously strong and malty by Laura Chandler on 11th February 2018
I've already bought a few pouches of this. It is similar to a Tippy Assam but with far more character! If you're looking for a good, strong breakfast tea to give you a kick start in the morning, this is it! I have Robert Fortune Blend when I'm in the mood for nostalgic crisp, freshness and this one for a strong, malty drink. Lovely little team!
New favourite by Andy Williams on 10th February 2018
Having drunk 1886 for many years, then changing to Tippy Assam, I’ve found my new favourite in Chelsea Breakfast. It’s robust, malty and a delicious wake up call with which to start my day.

It seemed only natural to number this tea 111 – our original Chelsea home on Fulham Road.
