Darjeeling is an exquisitely delicate black tea grown high up in the Himalayas of India, its young shoots picked by hand in the early morning mist.
Darjeeling is a protected geographical indication and tea from the region pays homage to the beautiful landscape where it is grown. Regarded as one of the finest teas in the world, it is a beautifully refreshing drink for any time of day.
These carefully selected tea leaves are an exciting introduction to Whittard’s finest teas. They are presented in a beautiful caddy that you can use again and again.

Brew the perfect cup

  For the perfect cup of Darjeeling Tea, use 2-3 teaspoons of tea for a 6-cup pot. Always use freshly drawn and boiled water. Allow to brew for 2-3 minutes or according to taste. Best drunk without milk.

A note from Whittard

“I don’t respond that well to caffeine, so I tend to go to our fruit and herbal infusions. Baked Apple is one of my favourites, and rooibos is lovely as a caffeine-free breakfast tea.”

* * * * * a fine gift by Margareth on 10th June 2014

I'm not expert in teas, but savouring this tea brought back memories from the good old and unforgettable time I spent in London. (back then, I barely knew what tea was about!) And today, I feel privileged to have got this fine gift from a fine lady!
