Goji berries, acai and green tea - you'll hear those words bandied about a lot in health circles. Inspired by the reputed rejuvenating power of these three superfoods, we've chosen a fresh sencha green tea for feel-good factor, while rosehip, raspberry and hibiscus flowers highlight that lovely berry brightness.
Jam-packed with vitamin C, along with vitamin B2, vitamin A, iron, selenium and other antioxidants, goji berries have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. Native to the rainforests of South America, acai berries also contain a number of potent antioxidants, reputed to help with weight loss and lower cholesterol. Meanwhile, Sencha contains high levels of the antioxidant ECGC, said to promote a youthful complexion and even reputed to protect against cancer and heart disease. All that, in one delicious, invigorating infusion - so, you know what you'll be talking about outside your yoga class.
Flavoured Green Tea
Bright, fruity and invigorating
A fruit salad for a healthy afternoon snack
As a healthy start to the day
Add one teaspoon (around 2g) of loose leaf tea per cup and use freshly drawn water heated to around 80 degrees. For the ideal temperature either pour the water before it reaches boiling point or allow the water to sit for 3-5 minutes after boiling. Allow to brew for 2-3 minutes according to taste. Best enjoyed without milk.
Yummy! by Lorna Kellock on 10th May 2018
Just tried a sample of this and am loving it. It's the first green tea I have actually enjoyed. It'll be my next purchase!
Cold or Hot it’s just super amazing! by Kat R on 4th May 2018
This tea is perfect! Super berries and green tea- yes please! I tried it in my new cold brew bottle and it is absolutely lush! It’s even pink when brewed cold!!! Also makes a great kombucha!!! It’s balance of sweet and sharp red fruit is fantastic! And it is great for those who want to get into green teas but are scared of that bitterness it is usually associated with! Thank you Whittard!!
Morning help by Lorraine Blake on 28th December 2017
I have received this in my first monthly tea box and I am not disappointed. I have had this instead of my normal breakfast tea and it is Devine. Very sweet but uplifting
Very sweet by Tyrone Wilson on 29th October 2017
I found this to be a tea I couldn't drink everyday as it was very sweet, but as a tea to drink occasionally it's very pleasant.
mini tea caddies so cute by manda grundy on 3rd March 2016
love the taste of this tea. very refreshing. any time of the day, got the tea in the mini caddies as a taster. they are so cute ( I have brought all 12). Great in the love mug and in a china cup and saucer. taste good both hot and cold. Also makes a great gift for my tea jenny friends. Well worth the money. A little does what it says on the tin. A little does go along way.
I used to hate fruit tea! by Rebecca Adas on 20th February 2016
Truly, I used to make myself drink fruit & mint tea for the supposed health benefits. Kidney problems at that time. In the end I stopped, disliking the acidity, taste etc. Had. Sample sip in Whittards of this tea, bought a tin & I love it. At least 1 very large mug daily. Quite a delicate taste, helps me on the nights I'm going 'dry' & not having alcohol. None of that nasty acidity or after taste.
The Chinese invented paper, gunpowder and the compass. But their finest innovation has to be tea, reputedly first discovered by the emperor Shen Nong in 2737 BCE. Originally prepared as a medicinal brew, tea became a drink in its own right during the Han Dynasty (206 BCE – 220 CE), and today China produces thousands of different varieties ranging from black, green and white tea to oolong, puerh and yellow tea. If you’re looking for a bit of teatime reading take a look at Lu Yu’s ‘Tea Classic’: first written in 780 CE, it covers everything from cultivation methods to tea etiquette…
A slightly dubious myth tells of Li Qing Yuen, whose daily dose of goji berries saw him reach the grand old age of 256. We can't say we're entirely convinced, but we thought we'd give this tea the number 256 nevertheless. Now we just have to wait and see
Green Tea with Flavouring
Inspired by the Japanese sakura cherry blossom festival of early spring, we've layered a base of fresh Sencha green tea with flavours of sweet, ripe cherries and a sprinkling of pretty pink petals. One sip, and you're sitting under a candyfloss cloud of luxuriant blossom. Bright, sweet and sublimely springlike, we love it as a crystal-clear cold infusion.More Details
Cucumber? In a tea? It might not be the first combination which springs to mind, but the results are really rather delicious. Based on a vibrant blend of green tea and peppermint leaves, we've taken things to the next level with an innovative twist of cucumber for a refreshing finish. The perfect way to hydrate in the summer heat.More Details
