Cherry Blossom

Product Details

Oh, to be in Tokyo during the spring…

Inspired by the Japanese sakura cherry blossom festival of early spring, we've layered a base of fresh Sencha green tea with flavours of sweet, ripe cherries and a sprinkling of pretty pink rose and peony petals. One sip, and you're sitting under a candyfloss cloud of blossom.

Bright, sweet and sublimely springlike, we'd also recommend you try it as a crystal clear cold infusion - why not give it a try with our Cold Brew bottle?

I'm not a green tea lover but this one is delightful. The flavor is really sophisticated and perfect for spring tea time. It's sweat but not too much and very delicate. One of my favorites.

The Chinese invented paper, gunpowder and the compass. But their finest innovation has to be tea, reputedly first discovered by the emperor Shen Nong in 2737 BCE. Originally prepared as a medicinal brew, tea became a drink in its own right during the Han Dynasty (206 BCE – 220 CE), and today China produces thousands of different varieties ranging from black, green and white tea to oolong, puerh and yellow tea. If you’re looking for a bit of teatime reading take a look at Lu Yu’s ‘Tea Classic’: first written in 780 CE, it covers everything from cultivation methods to tea etiquette…

    Flavoured Green Tea

Goji, acai and green tea – you'll hear those words bandied about a lot in health circles, and we've long been intrigued by these three reputed superfoods. We've chosen a Sencha high in antioxidants for the green tea base, while rosehip, raspberry and hibiscus flowers highlight that lovely berry brightness.

    White Tea with Flavouring

We like to think that Walter Whittard dreamt up this blend while taking a stroll in Chelsea Physic Garden one summer evening… The delicate taste of our signature White Peony tea is perfectly matched with floral fruit flavours, while whole pink rosebuds make for quite the afternoon tea showpiece. Super with scones and strawberry jam.

    Green Tea

A speciality of Fujian Province in China, this tea is crafted with exceptional skill, layering the youngest green tea leaves with fresh jasmine blossoms, ready to absorb their fragrant oil as the buds begin to open at dusk. A note from Whittard

“At the moment I’m really into white tea blends, like Chelsea Garden and White Chocolate Tea. Both are amazing with anything creamy. Fondant fancies add a touch of kitsch!”
