Finest Green Leaf Tea Selection

This elegant selection of Whittard’s best-selling fine green teas makes a lovely gift for any tea drinker. Green teas are beautifully refreshing, with a verdant and alive flavour that tastes just like spring.

Jasmine Tea is one of the most popular scented teas in the world. Jasmine flowers are layered on top of the long leaves of fine green tea, the petals infusing the tea with their perfume. The result is a sweet, aromatic tea perfect for drinking throughout the day.

Moroccan Mint is the classic drink served on Morocco’s sun-baked streets. Whittard’s blend expertly balances smoky gunpowder green tea with sweet spearmint to create a taste that transports you to the bustling alleyways of Morocco’s medinas.

Gunpowder takes its name from the tight pearls the leaves are formed into, which were mistaken for gunpowder by 16th-century traders. The grey-green leaves of this China tea unfurl peacefully to produce a golden cup with a smooth, sweet, slightly smoky flavour that is perfect for a quiet, contemplative pause.

The loose leaf teas are presented in penny lever tins printed with exclusive Whittard designs that capture the character of each green tea. Looking great on display in the kitchen, the tins keep the teas beautifully fresh and can be used again and again.

Ingredients

Brew the perfect cup

For the perfect cup of these blended green teas, ideally warm the pot first with a splash of hot water. Use one teaspoon (around 2g) per cup and use freshly drawn water, which is heated to around 80 degrees. You can either pour the water before it reaches boiling point or allow the water to sit for a few minutes afterwards. Allow to brew for 2-3 minutes according to taste. Should be drunk without milk.

A note from Whittard

“I’m a bit of a traditionalist, so I tend to go for classic black tea blends like Earl Grey, or single origin varieties like Ceylon or Assam. Lapsang Souchong is a treat with hot cross buns.”
