A touch of buttered toast and honey...

Taiwan (formerly Formosa) produces some of the smoothest, sweetest and subtlest oolong teas, traditionally brewed by Buddhist monks at the end of the day. This highly prized Taiwanese dark oolong has been skilfully semi-oxidised to bring forth its characteristic roasted flavour and delicate aroma. With flavours ranging from malty to floral, layered with hints of fruit and spice, fine palates even pick up a touch of buttered toast and honey in the finish…

Brew the perfect cup

Ideally warm the pot first with a splash of hot water. Use one teaspoon (around 2g) per cup and always use freshly drawn and boiled water. Allow to brew for 3-5 minutes according to taste. Best drunk without milk.

A note from Whittard

“I’m a big fan of our Mango & Bergamot – the coloured petals look lovely against the green tea leaves, and I like to store it in glass sweetshop jars on my kitchen shelf.”

This tea is wonderful! I like to drink it lightly brewed and black but also nice with a bit of milk too.
