A healthy but indulgent experience...

Chelsea Garden Blend Tea evokes the gorgeous scent of a classic English garden bursting with roses and is perfect for drinking outside on a warm summer's day.

Whittard has drawn on its heritage and expertise to create this unique and exclusive blend. At its base is an exquisitely light and deliciously sweet white tea. Grown exclusively in China for centuries, white tea is only now beginning to be shared with the world. It takes its name from the downy white hairs on the tea buds and is one of the purest forms of tea available. It is made from the youngest buds and softest leaves, which are left to dry naturally in the clean mountain air.

Chelsea Garden Tea combines white tea, rosebuds and rose flavouring to create a fragrant and delicate blend that offers a healthy but indulgent experience for any tea lover.

Brew the perfect cup

Ideally warm the pot first with a splash of hot water. Use one teaspoon (around 2g) per cup and use freshly drawn water which is heated to around 80 degrees. You can either pour the water before it reaches boiling point or allow the water to sit for a few minutes afterwards. Allow to brew for 2-3 minutes according to taste. Should be drunk without milk.

A note from Whittard

“I don’t respond that well to caffeine, so I tend to go to our fruit and herbal infusions. Baked Apple is one of my favourites, and rooibos is lovely as a caffeine-free breakfast tea.”

* * * * * One of my favourites by Shona Smith on 20th June 2015

Having tried this at the kiosk at West Quay, Southampton, this has quickly become one of my favourite teas. I use my sage tea maker and find 4 scoops is the perfect amount for 1200ml. Refreshing and light with no bitter aftertaste it is easy to drink a whole pot within the hour that the tea maker keeps it warm. I've not tried it iced, but would consider doing that as the warmer weather comes in.

I've been putting my Sage Tea Maker to the test and the Chelsea Garden tea tasted amazing. It has a very subtle taste; in fact the review stating that it has a turkish delight bouquet is spot on. Again very subtle but delicious and I will definitely be ordering more. I found one heaped spoon per cup is perfect.

A really refreshing delicious tea! Converted my husband to drinking herbal teas as well as good strong black tea!

I'm not one for floral bouquet teas. Yet having a smallish sample from the Trentham store I was pleasantly surprised. I would describe it as a liquid Turkish delight (without chocolate), but extremely subtle in flavour. The previous reviewer mentions having it iced. This is something I have yet to try, but shall.

A very sweet tea with a very strong sweet fragrance that is almost a bit sickly. I personally found it a little overpowering considering white tea tends to be delicate, it does make a nice iced tea though.
