We like to think that Walter Whittard dreamed up this blend while taking a stroll in Chelsea Physic Garden one summer evening. Or perhaps it was during a visit to the Chelsea Flower Show? After all, the event was first held in Chelsea just two years after Walter Whittard set up shop.
You'll find the base of our signature White Peony tea allows for a light and elegant brew, while the sweet suggestion of rose and flavours of ripe summer fruits add a delightfully characteristic twist. And the whole rosebuds? Well, allow Walter to express the more floral side to his personality. It's ideal infused in our glass Chelsea Teapot - the rosebuds make for quite the afternoon tea showpiece.

Fabulously fruity and floral
Shortbread or other buttery biscuits to complement the sweet rose
Summer garden parties and al fresco afternoon tea
Add two teaspoons (around 4g) of loose leaf tea per cup and use freshly drawn water heated to around 80 degrees. For the ideal temperature either pour the water before it reaches boiling point or allow the water to sit for 3-5 minutes after boiling. Allow to brew for 2-3 minutes according to taste. Best enjoyed without milk.

I have been looking for a tea with no or low tannins.Tannins make me ill and I have really been missing a cup of tea.This tea was recommended and I tried a sample in the shop.Straight away I loved the taste slightly floral and very light.you don't need to brew more then 3 minutes.I bought 2 pouches in the shop and have bought more on line with a teapot to make it in.

This is the one tea that my whole family loves. It is very elegant, smooth tea, without too heavy a fragrance. Great to drink hot or cold in summer, very enjoyable.
