There's nothing quite like coming home to a haze of mulled wine steaming on a winter stove. Our Mulled Wine tea is a merry medley of fruit and festive spices, blending blackberry leaves for sweetness, apple for bite and essence of cloves for a mesmerising fragrance. It's just the thing for those who love a tipple.
We'd suggest brewing hot and serving in our specialist borosilicate glassware, designed to keep in the heat and prevent burnt fingers. Or why not try as an iced fruit punch at the height of summer, served with a top of juicy chopped fruit? You could call it a tea for all seasons.
Flavoured Fruit Infusion
Rich red fruits and festive spices
Enjoy with mince pies or any other festive treat
On a dark winters night, or iced at the height of summer
Add two teaspoons (around 4g) per cup and always use freshly drawn and boiled water. Allow to brew for 3-5 minutes according to taste. Best enjoyed without milk.

This is a very strong tea, so I don't brew it for very long. It has some very strong flavours but very warming.
Ever since our founder Walter Whittard weighed out tea leaves behind his high mahogany counter, we’ve been experimenting with our own inventive blends. The Chinese were the first to try blending tea leaves with fruits and flowers and it takes time, skill and imagination to master the art. It’s all about creating the perfect balance of flavours: we blind taste at least 20 different variations before settling on the perfect recipe. Just as some musicians have perfect pitch, an expert tea blender needs to have some pretty perceptive tastebuds…
The idea of mulled wine was more or less invented by the Romans. The first recipes for hot, spiced wine date back to the 2nd century, so we've given our Mulled Wine tea the number 2.
