Teapot Tradition

In another of our series of Q & A's with our dedicated store managers, Ruth from our Ealing store spills the beans:

What is your favourite Whittard tea or coffee and why?

Monsoon Malabar - because it's strong, spicy and full of flavour. Its been washed by the Monsoon rains, what more could you ask for! I've compared it to our competitors, and ours is far superior.

What best sums up Britishness to you?

Music festivals. I drank my first rooibos in the middle of a muddy field after seeing one of my favourite bands and have been a fan ever since!

Everyone likes to make their favourite drink in their own particular way. Share a tea or coffee tip

I will not accept tea in anything other than fine bone china! I've introduced the Sunday Morning Teapot to my house; the first one up makes a pot of tea (Whittard, obviously!) and we sit around the table reading papers and having a catch up.

If you could click your fingers and be sharing a tea or coffee with anyone, anywhere in the world where would you go and who would your companion be?

Star Wars era Harrison Ford, on the Cornwall coast on a sunny May afternoon. Heeeeeaaaaaveeeeen!

What's the best compliment a customer has paid you or a Whittard product?

I bought my friend some Afternoon tea to take to her mum. The compliment is, I now have to keep her in full supply!

Which Whittard product are you most like and why?

Summer Blossom milk jug. Elegant and curvy. A touch of class, ha ha ha ha ha...

Thank you Ruth!
