Guide to Tea Tasting Part 2

In our guide to tea tasting part 1  we described the process of tea tasting and how to prepare and taste tea like an expert.

We thought we'd follow this up with some information on what to expect from different teas. Each individual tea has a different flavour and aroma - here are some general tea tasting notes which can be helpful reference points for understanding flavours. This guide is just a starting point - explore, have fun with tea and develop your own tea tasting vocabulary. If you would like any help selecting new teas to try,  our store staff are very knowledgeable and can always suggest some teas you might like based on your personal preferences.

NB In our range Milky Oolong and Sencha are examples of steamed green teas and all of our other green teas including Bancha  and  Dragonwell  are pan-fired.
